"The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly (John 10:10). The Mission
Satan' mission was/is to steal your peace, joy, love, testimony, ultimately your soul. He is determined to destroy your relationship with God. God's love toward us is why He sent His only begotten Son (Jesus) to reconcile us back to Himself. God's mission plan has always been for us to live lives' that reflect Him (Genesis 1:26). God desires our fellowship, worship, and admiration to and for Him. He never meant for us to be tempted to turn away from Him. Thankfully, God made a way for us in the event that we are tempted. Satan deceived Eve, but Adam, whom the command was given to, fell due to unbelief.
Unbelief Kills
Unbelief is not an option if one wants to go to heaven. God's Word is true. Ask the Lord to help your unbelief so that you are not tempted to turn your back on God.. There will be no rest for your soul in turning your back on God. "Take care, brothers, lest there be in any of you an evil, unbelieving heart, leading you to fall away from the living God (Hebrews 3:7-12). Have Faith,".....without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him (Hebrews 11:6).
By Faith We Conquer
One can only conquer the devil by faith; belief in the finished Work of Christ Jesus on the Cross. "There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it (1 Corinthians 10:13). Jesus is the way to reconciliation with God in Heaven. He is thee escape route. Jesus said, "...I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. "Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent (Revelation 2:5).
